Welcome to Haughton Lodge.
Haughton Lodge is a cosy cottage situated on the grounds of the Haughton complex outskirts of Newcastle Upper in Co. Wicklow.
Haughton Lodge provides sole occupancy residential care on a full-time basis to a single individual with a diagnosis in moderate to profound range of intellectual disability. Haughton Lodge is currently home to one child.
Haughton Lodge is a single-person residence designed to offer specialised social care support in line with the assessed needs of the supported individual.
Haughton Lodge provides a safe and comfortable environment for individuals while promoting independence and enhancing the quality of life for resident.
As part of the Haughton complex, Haughton Lodge has access to a shared garden which allows access to a wide variety of disability friendly play equipment in a safe space. The shared garden includes colourful fencing and contains sensory wall toys, outdoor musical instruments, a basket swing, crawling tunnel and a zip line.
Haughton Lodge actively encourage community engagement and social inclusion. Through various activities and outings, we help individuals build social connections and foster a sense of belonging within the broader community.
We share this responsibility with the individuals we support and their families so that all can thrive in the embrace of our community.
