Bird Hill is a mid-sized property in situated on the outskirts of Newtownmountkennedy in Co. Wicklow.
Bird Hill provides residential support for up-to two individuals on a full-time basis with a diagnosis in the moderate to profound range of intellectual disability. Bird Hill is currently home to two adults.
We, in Bird Hill, believe that every individual has unique strengths, abilities, and preferences. Our person-centred approach ensures that our services are customized to meet the specific needs and goals of each person we support, fostering independence and self-determination.
The facilities in Bird Hill are varied and person-centred. Both residents attend St. Catherine’s Adult Day Service and this is an excellent addition to their day.
The residents enjoy horse riding, music class, walks and trips to the cinema. There is a purpose-built sensory room is available to both residents in the centre.
Bird Hill actively encourage community engagement and social inclusion. Through various activities and outings, we help individuals build social connections and foster a sense of belonging within the broader community.
We share this responsibility with the individuals we support and their families so that all can thrive in the embrace of our community.
